It is inside gifts in our
lives we can start to get a glimpse of the eternal. Inside mens religion of
self gifts are limited in their expression as we truly do not have the freedom
to maintain the gift. We may be aware but the longer that we live inside our own
ability all we get is our own results. The challenge is to allow our gifts to
be outside of our ability and to surrender to the spirituality of such. Of
course in doing this many miss the fact the way the gifts exhibit themselves is
even creative. The gift is creative but the demonstration of the gift should be
equally creative. This is where many fall down and why without understanding
the spiritual side of a gift we will always abuse it according to our ability.
We are yet to see the world
have someone who is gifted also deliver the gift in a gifted way. Now take a
guitar player for example they have a gift to play and figure to play in front
of crowds is a good demonstration of the gift. They miss the fact to indeed be
creative then why not allow the gift to create new mediums, opportunities and
demonstrations of creative life. Yes we find bands who get some flashing lights
and smoke and demonstrate how limited they are in expression while thinking
they are expressing wonderful things. Hoo hum another concert, the seats may be
arranged differently and the smoke and lasers impressive, but Hoo hum.
To me it’s why I hate
firework displays. When men think they have something to celebrate they limit
themselves to firework displays. The fireworks get bigger or have new patterns
and people think this is amazing but they totally miss the fact they are still
limiting their expression to the same thing. Big deal another firework went up
and went bang. Oh gee the bang was louder, am I supposed to be awed by their
demonstration of nothing. I think perhaps only a truly gifted individual can
even understand what I am trying to say.
If you have a gift the only
way to understand how to reach no limits is understanding the nature of what is
intended. Now here is another prime example. People get a gift that is
obviously spiritual and turn to religion to try and express it. They start a
fireworks display they watch every Sunday or whatever day is more holy to them.
They miss the point by peddling their views on bible and righteous acts that
they see express this gift. In so doing all these people do is reveal how
little they understand the spiritual side of a gift and they have no idea how
to see an expansion of the gift. They create a religious environment and immediately
begin to try and control and fabricate. Let’s be honest almost every gifted
person has a run with religion and usually ends up being spat out. Because the
religion steals their identity and expression of the gift it does not help
reveal it. My term of religion is not limited to church it is mans humanistic
attempts to worship a God that is usually himself.
The next challenge in
expressing gifts is to find a community of gifted individuals who together
remove limits. They are never prepared to settle for being told they always
work within the gift to create. Boundaries are constantly moved. This gives
understanding to why many artistic people are drawn to fringe areas in morality
and culture. You see inside mans ability we will always push against the things
that attacked us or confront us. They place themselves inside woring
communities with agendas that are not about pure life. Where purity is life in
a gift being expressed without limits. In our self righteous lack of understanding
of gifts we as men often incorrectly place our creativity. It is a distraction
that ultimately stifles life itself.
To have a community of gifted
people we would find amazing expression but there must be one gifted in helping
to reveal self. I like the saying he who wants to find his life must lose it.
This is an immense challenge for gifted people. In the beginning of what they
do it is easier for they are humble, but as the gift is polished by those
around the person often takes the pride to themselves and the gift is still
enjoyable but limited and in time the gifted individual will discover this. Partly
why they turn to artificial stimulants to generate passion. They become
addicted to the next thing but when you have reached the limit inside your gift
what do you do then. Ahh yes in the case of a musician they turn up the hype to
try and fill the gaps. We see them take their clothes off to try and gain what
is missing but all the time inside there is a knowing, a pushed aside knowing,
they are approaching the end. The addiction to the attention and the crowds is
alluring but as the masses move on they leave a shell of an entertainer grasping
for more and not knowing how to get there.
To understand the mechanics
of gifting really is not hard it is just creative in and of itself and the
question becomes can we humble ourselves to discover creative instances,
environments and cultures. All are possible and as purity of the gift is
restored and yes it can be restored then expression ate life will be once
again. A gifted person I always say never knows they are gifted in the beginning.
To them it is life itself and they just do it. It is the environment of the
world telling them they are wonderful and them listening that destruction
begins with. Really the only answer is community such as we see manifest
globally and you can only call it koinonia.
